High-speed railway services connect Florence with Milan (approximately 2 h) and Rome (approximately 1h and 30 min.). The main railway station in Florence is Santa Maria Novella and it is also the terminus of the tramway line 2 starting from the Florence airport (to/from Florence downtown every 15 min; ticket price 4.5 € for a single run).

BY CAR
The A1 (Autostrada del Sole) is the main motorway linking Florence to both Northern and Southern Italy, to the west to Genoa and to the French border (toll motorway).

HOW TO GET THE CONFERENCE VENUE
The Auditorium is located at a walk distance from the historical “old-bridge” as well as all main hotels in Florence downtown. It can be reached walking from the main rail-way station “Santa Maria Novella” (15 min walking crossing the Arno River through the Amerigo Vespucci bridge – see Google Maps below) that is the terminus of the tramway line 2 that connects the railway station to the Florence airport (back and forth every 15 min; ticket price 4.5 € for a single run).
